Boris Rubinsky

Boris Rubinsky is the originator of the concept of using irreversible electroporation as a surgical tool for non-thermal tissue ablation, having published the seminal theoretical and experimental work demonstrating that electric pulses can destroy tissue through membrane disruption without heating. His foundational patents and publications launched the IRE field and led to the development of the NanoKnife clinical system. He is a pioneer in multiple physical ablation technologies including cryosurgery and electroporation.
