👥Biography 个人简介

Dr. Rolf Brekken is a vascular and tumor biology researcher at UT Southwestern who has studied platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) signaling in tumor vasculature and stroma. He has characterized how PDGFR-mediated pericyte recruitment stabilizes blood vessels and how PDGFR inhibition in combination with VEGF blockade can impair tumor vascular support more effectively than VEGF inhibition alone. His work informs dual anti-angiogenic strategies targeting both endothelial and pericyte signaling.
