Rohit Pappu

Rohit Pappu has developed foundational theoretical and computational frameworks for understanding biomolecular phase separation, including the sticker-and-spacer model that predicts condensate formation from protein sequence features. His work has enabled quantitative prediction of how cancer-associated mutations alter phase behavior of oncoproteins and tumor suppressors. He has been instrumental in establishing the physical principles governing condensate biology.
