Roger Davis

Roger Davis at UMass Chan Medical School is a pioneer in MAP kinase biology who discovered the JNK (c-Jun N-terminal kinase) stress kinase and has contributed foundational work on the MAPK pathway in cancer. His research has characterized the roles of JNK, p38, and ERK MAP kinase pathways in cancer cell survival and drug resistance. He has contributed to understanding how feedback activation within the MAP kinase pathway limits the efficacy of MEK inhibitors and has studied combination strategies to overcome this feedback. His comprehensive kinase biology research has provided critical insights into therapeutic targeting of the RAS/MAPK network.
