Professor Roger Bhatt is a structural chemical biologist at the ICR who applies cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography to the structure-based design of novel cancer therapeutics. His laboratory has solved structures of key oncogenic kinases and cancer-relevant protein complexes that have guided the design of highly selective inhibitors. He integrates fragment-based screening with cryo-EM to discover allosteric binding sites on cancer driver proteins.
