Carlos Rodriguez-Galindo

Carlos Rodriguez-Galindo leads St. Jude Global, the largest initiative to improve childhood cancer outcomes in low- and middle-income countries, building twinning partnerships between St. Jude and over 40 pediatric oncology centers worldwide to improve cure rates for children who currently face greater than 90 percent mortality in the poorest countries compared to greater than 80 percent survival in high-income countries. His program has demonstrated that implementing standardized treatment protocols, improving supportive care, and providing essential medicines can dramatically improve childhood cancer survival in resource-limited settings. His work is closing the global childhood cancer survival gap through systematic capacity building.
