Robert Seder
MD
Chief, Cellular Immunology Section
👥Biography 个人简介
Robert Seder is a leading immunologist whose work on vaccine adjuvants and T cell immunity has directly shaped cancer vaccine development, demonstrating that the route of administration and adjuvant formulation fundamentally determine whether vaccines elicit protective CD8+ T cell responses capable of eliminating tumors. His landmark studies showed that intravenous delivery of nanoparticle vaccines with potent adjuvants generates far superior anti-tumor T cell responses compared to subcutaneous or intramuscular routes. He has characterized how different adjuvants activate distinct innate immune pathways to shape the magnitude and quality of adaptive anti-tumor immunity. His adjuvant optimization frameworks are being applied across the cancer vaccine field.
