Robert Schreiber
PhD
Alumni Professor of Pathology and Immunology
👥Biography 个人简介
Prof. Robert Schreiber at Washington University developed the cancer immunoediting theory, which describes how the immune system first eliminates nascent tumors (elimination), then reaches an equilibrium that sculpts tumor immunogenicity, and finally allows escape of immunologically resistant variants. This framework has profoundly influenced understanding of how tumors evade immunity and why some cancers respond to checkpoint blockade while others resist. His identification of cancer neoantigens as immune editing targets has shaped personalized cancer vaccine development.
