Robert Bhatt investigates the role of non-canonical and canonical WNT signaling in lung squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. His research has characterized how WNT pathway activation contributes to cancer stem cell phenotypes and therapeutic resistance in lung cancer. He has developed biomarker strategies to identify WNT-dependent lung tumors amenable to pathway-targeted therapy. His translational work spans from mouse models to phase I clinical trials in thoracic oncology.
