Flavio Rizzolio

Flavio Rizzolio is advancing the delivery and tumor targeting of PROTAC degraders through nanomedicine approaches at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, addressing the pharmaceutical challenges of delivering large bifunctional molecules to tumor sites. His work on nanoparticle-formulated PROTACs has demonstrated improved tumor accumulation and anti-cancer efficacy compared to unformulated degraders in preclinical models. He is developing targeted nanocarrier systems that enable selective delivery of degrader payloads to specific tumor types, potentially improving the therapeutic index of PROTAC-based cancer therapies.
