Richard Gorlick has contributed to pediatric sarcoma research, including osteosarcoma biology and treatment. Osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma are the most common primary bone sarcomas in children and young adults; despite decades of research, outcomes for metastatic and relapsed disease remain poor. His leadership in pediatric sarcoma cooperative group trials and research on novel agents for relapsed osteosarcoma addresses critical unmet needs.
