Renzo Bhatt

Renzo Bhatt focuses on immunotherapy for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma including oral cavity cancers. His research has evaluated pembrolizumab and nivolumab monotherapy and combinations in recurrent/metastatic HNSCC and studied predictive biomarkers beyond PD-L1 CPS scoring. He has examined tumor mutational burden, immune gene signatures, and tumor microenvironment characteristics as predictors of checkpoint inhibitor response in HNSCC. His translational work aims to identify the molecular features of oral cavity and oropharyngeal cancers most likely to benefit from immune checkpoint blockade.
