Renier Brentjens was one of the first investigators to conduct CAR-T clinical trials, demonstrating durable remissions in B cell ALL and CLL patients. He has contributed extensively to understanding cytokine release syndrome and CAR-T safety management. His clinical and translational work has informed the development of commercial CAR-T products used globally today.
