David Reardon

David Reardon has investigated the intersection of radiation and immunotherapy in brain tumors, leading clinical trials of checkpoint inhibitors combined with radiation in glioblastoma and brain metastases to determine whether abscopal-like systemic immune responses can be generated from CNS tumor irradiation. His work has advanced understanding of the unique immunological challenges and opportunities in CNS tumors, including the role of the blood-brain barrier in modulating radiation-immune interactions. He leads major cooperative group trials testing novel radiation-immunotherapy combinations for brain tumors.
