Pedram Razavi has developed high-intensity ctDNA sequencing approaches with matched white blood cell germline filtering that overcome the confounding effects of clonal hematopoiesis, enabling accurate tumor-specific ctDNA monitoring for breast cancer therapy response assessment. His research at Memorial Sloan Kettering has established the importance of distinguishing tumor-derived from hematopoietic-derived cell-free DNA mutations for reliable therapy monitoring and has defined ctDNA metrics that predict treatment outcomes in metastatic breast cancer. His methodological advances have improved the clinical accuracy of ctDNA-based therapy monitoring.
