Ravi Bhatt investigates the epigenomic landscape of cancer and how aberrant chromatin states drive malignant gene expression programs. His research has characterized genome-wide epigenomic reprogramming events during cancer initiation and progression using high-throughput chromatin profiling technologies. He has identified super-enhancers and topological domain reorganization events that drive oncogene activation in cancer cells. His translational work has explored pharmacological targeting of cancer-specific chromatin states using BET bromodomain inhibitors and other epigenomic therapies.
