Rashida Bhatt

Rashida Bhatt investigates immunotherapy approaches for soft tissue sarcomas, which have historically shown variable responses to checkpoint inhibitors. Her research identified alveolar soft part sarcoma and undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma as subtypes with particular sensitivity to PD-1/PD-L1 blockade. She has studied the immune microenvironment across sarcoma histotypes to identify predictive biomarkers for immunotherapy response. Her translational work is informing prospective clinical trial design for immunotherapy in rare sarcoma subtypes.
