Coen Rasch

Coen Rasch has been a pioneer in dose painting by numbers, developing the conceptual and technical framework for prescribing radiation dose at the voxel level based on functional imaging signal intensity rather than uniform doses to geometric volumes. His clinical implementation of FDG-PET guided dose painting in head and neck cancer has demonstrated feasibility and promising outcomes. He has been instrumental in establishing the theoretical basis and practical workflows for functional imaging-guided adaptive radiation therapy.
