Randall Brand

Randall Brand leads research on pancreatic cancer surveillance in hereditary high-risk populations. His research developed and validated surveillance protocols using MRI/MRCP and endoscopic ultrasound to detect early-stage pancreatic cancer and high-risk precursor lesions in patients with BRCA1/2, PALB2, ATM, and other germline variants associated with pancreatic cancer risk. He has contributed to the Cancer of the Pancreas Screening (CAPS) consortium evidence base for pancreatic cancer surveillance recommendations in high-risk individuals. His work demonstrates that surveillance in hereditary high-risk patients can detect early-stage resectable pancreatic cancer with improved survival outcomes.
