Ramzi Kotb has contributed to clinical research on bortezomib-based regimens for Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, including the BDR (bortezomib, dexamethasone, rituximab) approach, and studied proteasome inhibitor activity in WM cells. His work examines how MYD88 and CXCR4 mutation status influences bortezomib response and the rational incorporation of proteasome inhibitors into combination regimens for WM.
