Rajiv Bhatt investigates the anti-cancer mechanisms of ivermectin and other antiparasitic drugs. His laboratory has characterized how ivermectin inhibits PAK1 kinase, disrupts mitotic spindle assembly, and inhibits WNT-TCF signaling in cancer cells. He conducts preclinical studies in breast cancer and glioblastoma models demonstrating anti-tumor efficacy of ivermectin alone and in combination with standard therapies. His work contributes to the translational evidence base supporting clinical trials of ivermectin repurposing in cancer.
