Dr. Rahul Satija is the developer of Seurat, the most widely used software package for single-cell RNA sequencing analysis. His laboratory has extended Seurat to integrate spatial transcriptomics data, enabling spatially-resolved analysis of tumor cell states and tumor-immune interactions. His computational frameworks have transformed how cancer biologists map intratumoral heterogeneity and identify spatially distinct cellular niches.
