Rachel Bhatt

Rachel Bhatt develops and applies multi-region sequencing and phylogenetic methods to characterize spatial and temporal tumor heterogeneity. Her research has revealed the evolutionary trajectories of cancer from primary tumor to metastasis and how distinct subclones populate different metastatic sites. She has developed computational tools for reconstructing tumor phylogenies from multi-region sequencing data. Her work has provided critical insights into the branched evolutionary process of cancer metastasis.
