Rachel Ballard-Barbash

Dr. Rachel Ballard-Barbash has led major epidemiological research programs at NCI investigating the impact of physical activity, obesity, and metabolic factors on cancer incidence and outcomes. Her research has provided key evidence that physical activity improves breast cancer survival and that obesity worsens prognosis across multiple cancer types. She has been instrumental in translating this evidence into cancer prevention and survivorship guidelines.
