Piotr Czauderna has contributed to pediatric liver tumor research through the SIOPEL (Society of Paediatric Oncology Epithelial Liver tumour) international collaboration, contributing to risk-stratified treatment protocols for hepatoblastoma that have substantially improved survival. His work on preoperative chemotherapy response, surgical resectability criteria, and liver transplantation in unresectable hepatoblastoma has been important for pediatric liver oncology.
