Pierre Gholam

Pierre Gholam is a hepatologist and liver cancer specialist who has contributed to evidence-based use of radiofrequency ablation and other locoregional therapies for hepatocellular carcinoma. His research addresses patient selection for ablative therapies, outcomes in HCC bridged to liver transplantation, and management of HCC in cirrhotic patients. He contributes to multidisciplinary liver tumor board approaches integrating locoregional and systemic therapies. Gholam has led educational initiatives on HCC surveillance and management in the United States.
