Pierre Fenaux

Pierre Fenaux is Europe's foremost MDS expert and led the landmark AVIDA trial that established azacitidine as superior to conventional care for higher-risk MDS. His research has contributed to multiple iterations of the WHO MDS classification and to international consensus treatment guidelines. He has championed collaborative European MDS studies through the European LeukemiaNet and EORTC. His work on MDS quality of life and patient-reported outcomes has influenced treatment decisions for elderly patients with this disease.
