Pierce Chow

Pierce Chow is a hepatic surgeon and clinical investigator specializing in HCC treatment in the Asia-Pacific context where hepatitis B-related HCC predominates. He has contributed to surgical outcomes research in HCC and to clinical trials evaluating perioperative adjuvant therapy to reduce recurrence after curative resection. He led the SPACE trial of sorafenib in intermediate HCC and has been involved in multiple Asia-Pacific HCC studies. He co-chairs the Asia-Pacific Primary Liver Cancer Expert (APPLE) meeting series and has been influential in building HCC clinical research capacity in the region.
