Phillip Sharp

Institute Professor
👥Biography 个人简介
Phillip Sharp at MIT shared the 1993 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Richard Roberts for discovering RNA splicing — demonstrating that genes are discontinuous and that pre-mRNA is processed to remove introns. His subsequent contributions to RNA interference (RNAi) cancer therapeutics and to understanding transcriptional regulation in cancer make him one of the most influential figures at the intersection of RNA biology and cancer.
