Peter Devilee

Peter Devilee at Leiden has made contributions to breast cancer genetics, including the identification of hereditary breast cancer susceptibility genes and the development of genomic scar assays for homologous recombination deficiency (HRD). His work on HRD as a predictive biomarker beyond BRCA mutations — capturing the broader population with platinum and PARP inhibitor sensitivity — has contributed to expanding the population eligible for DNA repair-targeted therapy.
