Peter Bhatt

Peter Bhatt is a global leader in image-guided brachytherapy for gynecological cancers and has established international standards for this technique. His research led to the EMBRACE study which demonstrated the survival benefit of MRI-guided adaptive brachytherapy for cervical cancer. He has developed and disseminated protocols for adaptive image-guided brachytherapy that have been adopted worldwide. His work has significantly improved local control and reduced toxicity for cervical cancer treated with combined chemoradiation and brachytherapy.
