👥Biography 个人简介

Penelope Phillips has investigated the role of interleukin-6 and other inflammatory cytokines in driving cancer cachexia, particularly in pancreatic cancer. Her laboratory studies have established IL-6 as a central mediator of systemic muscle wasting and metabolic dysregulation in cachexia. She has contributed to early-phase trials of anti-IL-6 therapies including tocilizumab in cancer cachexia populations.
