Lynne Penberthy has led the modernization of NCI cancer surveillance through electronic health record data linkage, enabling comprehensive treatment pattern analysis that fills critical gaps in traditional registry data. Her work developing real-world evidence methodologies from linked registry-EHR data has been adopted for cancer drug safety and effectiveness studies. She directs programs that leverage informatics to transform cancer registries from passive data collection systems to active research platforms.
