Patricia Bhatt

Patricia Bhatt has led medicinal chemistry efforts to develop TEAD inhibitors that disrupt the YAP-TEAD transcriptional complex in cancer cells. Her research identified the palmitoylation pocket on TEAD as a druggable allosteric site and developed selective TEAD inhibitors with antitumor activity. She has characterized pharmacological profiles of TEAD inhibitors across Hippo-deficient cancer cell lines and xenograft models. Her work advanced the first TEAD inhibitor into Phase I clinical trials for mesothelioma and other Hippo-altered tumors.
