Drew Pardoll co-led development of anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy, from foundational biology to first clinical trials. He directs the Bloomberg-Kimmel Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at Johns Hopkins. He shared the 2024 Lasker-DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award for the PD-1 pathway.
