👥Biography 个人简介

Paolo Ghia is an internationally recognized CLL biologist and clinician who has made seminal contributions to understanding CLL B-cell receptor biology and Richter transformation. His laboratory discovered that subsets of CLL cases share stereotyped B-cell receptor configurations, suggesting antigen-driven selection in CLL pathogenesis. He has extensively studied mechanisms of Richter transformation, the aggressive transformation of CLL to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and evaluated therapeutic strategies for this high-risk complication. He leads European LeukemiaNet CLL initiatives and collaborates with investigators worldwide.
