Yoram Palti
MD, PhD
Professor Emeritus of Physiology and Biophysics (TTFields Inventor)
👥Biography 个人简介
Yoram Palti invented Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) technology, demonstrating that intermediate-frequency alternating electric fields selectively disrupt cancer cell mitosis by interfering with tubulin polymerization and septin localization during cytokinesis. His foundational work led to FDA approval of TTFields for glioblastoma and malignant pleural mesothelioma, establishing an entirely new physical modality in oncology. His ongoing research explores frequency optimization and novel tumor-specific field configurations for expanding TTFields applications to additional solid tumor types.
