Oliver Gimm is an endocrine surgeon with expertise in adrenalectomy for adrenocortical carcinoma, including studies on complete (R0) resection as the primary determinant of ACC prognosis and the controversial role of laparoscopic versus open adrenalectomy for large or potentially malignant adrenal tumors. He has published analyses of ACC recurrence patterns after resection and the outcomes of re-resection for localized recurrence. He also contributes to hereditary endocrine tumor surgery, including MEN2 and VHL-related adrenal pathology.
