Niko Beerenwinkel at ETH has developed computational models for cancer evolution and tumor heterogeneity, including probabilistic models of clonal dynamics and phylogenetic reconstruction of tumor evolution. His work on mathematical modeling of cancer evolutionary processes provides theoretical frameworks for understanding how tumors evolve and how treatment resistance emerges.
