Nicolas Girard

Nicolas Girard is one of the world's foremost experts on thymic epithelial tumors and rare thoracic malignancies. He has led landmark studies characterizing molecular subtypes of thymoma and thymic carcinoma, informing staging and treatment algorithms. He chaired the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (ITMIG) and has coordinated global multicenter registries for these rare cancers. His work has established evidence-based treatment guidelines where none previously existed.
