👥Biography 个人简介

Nicholas Turner at the Institute of Cancer Research and Royal Marsden is a leader in breast cancer translational research focused on therapeutic resistance mechanisms, particularly in HER2-positive and hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. His laboratory discovered the high frequency of ESR1 mutations as a mechanism of acquired resistance to aromatase inhibitors, a finding that transformed understanding of endocrine therapy resistance. He has made contributions to understanding resistance to CDK4/6 inhibitors and has used liquid biopsy approaches to characterize clonal evolution during treatment. His clinical trial work on novel agents targeting resistant breast cancer has advanced care for patients who progress on standard therapies.
