Nicholas James leads the STAMPEDE trial, the largest prostate cancer clinical trial ever conducted, which has established evidence for multiple treatment intensification strategies in mHSPC including abiraterone, docetaxel, and radiotherapy to the primary tumor. His platform trial design has efficiently evaluated numerous agents and generated practice-changing results for mHSPC. James has spearheaded collaborations between UK academic oncology networks and pharmaceutical sponsors to accelerate trial conduct. His work on STAMPEDE has influenced international treatment guidelines for mHSPC.
