Neel Bhatt
MD
Associate Professor of Hematologic Oncology
👥Biography 个人简介
Neel Bhatt studies immunomodulatory drugs (IMiDs) as a paradigm for successful drug repurposing in oncology. He investigates the mechanisms by which thalidomide analogs including lenalidomide and pomalidomide degrade transcription factors via the CRBN-CRL4 ubiquitin ligase, representing a molecular rationale that emerged decades after clinical use began. His research explores whether IMiD activity can be extended to new oncologic indications by designing CRBN modulators with altered substrate specificity. He contributes to clinical investigation of IMiD combinations in hematologic malignancies.
