Nadia Sorel investigates the molecular biology of chordoma — a rare malignant bone tumor arising from notochordal remnants — and the activity of targeted agents including imatinib (targeting PDGFR-beta) and denosumab in chordoma. Her translational work has characterized brachyury overexpression as the key oncogenic driver in chordoma and identified rational targets for therapeutic intervention. She collaborates with the international Chordoma Foundation research network.
