Muhammed Murtaza
MBBS, PhD
Associate Professor of Translational Genomics
👥Biography 个人简介
Muhammed Murtaza applies whole-genome and whole-exome sequencing of ctDNA to track cancer evolution during treatment and understand resistance mechanisms in real time. His research demonstrated that serial ctDNA whole-exome sequencing can comprehensively profile the mutational landscape of metastatic cancer from blood. He has characterized subclonal evolution dynamics under treatment pressure using ctDNA sampling and shown how resistant clones emerge and dominate. His work provides a non-invasive window into the genomic complexity and evolutionary dynamics of advanced cancers.
