Morris Sherman

Morris Sherman is a hepatologist who has contributed extensively to HCC surveillance strategies in high-risk populations with cirrhosis. He has helped establish evidence-based surveillance protocols using ultrasound and AFP that have been incorporated into international guidelines. His research has examined the limitations and improvements needed for effective HCC early detection programs. He has served as president of the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver and has been involved in developing North American HCC treatment guidelines. His work on cirrhosis-related complications beyond HCC is also highly regarded.
