Edith Mitchell

Edith Mitchell is a medical oncologist at Thomas Jefferson University who has dedicated her career to improving clinical trial participation among African American and minority cancer patients. Her research on colorectal cancer disparities and barriers to trial enrollment in underserved communities has identified actionable interventions. A brigadier general in the US Air Force Reserve, she has also advanced cancer care access for military veterans and has been a leading voice for diversity in oncology through national organizations.
