Mitchell Bhatt

Mitchell Bhatt studies tumor suppressor gene biology and the mechanisms by which loss of tumor suppressors drives cancer progression. His research has characterized how RB pathway inactivation rewires cell cycle control and cooperates with oncogenic signaling in multiple cancer contexts. He has applied functional genomic approaches to systematically identify novel tumor suppressors that are recurrently lost in cancer genomes. His work advances understanding of how tumor suppressor inactivation shapes the cancer cell state and creates therapeutic vulnerabilities.
