Miriam Merad

Miriam Merad at Mount Sinai is a leading authority on myeloid cell biology in cancer and a pioneer in mapping the tumor immune microenvironment. Her work has revealed how tissue-resident macrophages and monocyte-derived cells differ in their tumor-promoting versus anti-tumor functions, how tumor-associated dendritic cells activate or fail to activate T cells, and how the myeloid compartment can be targeted therapeutically.
