👥Biography 个人简介

Miriam Merad at Mount Sinai is a premier immunologist specializing in tumor-associated macrophages and dendritic cell biology, contributing fundamentally to understanding how innate immune cell composition of the tumor microenvironment determines immune desert or inflamed phenotype. Her research on TAM reprogramming through CSF1R inhibitors and other approaches to shift tumor macrophages from immunosuppressive to pro-inflammatory phenotypes has advanced strategies to convert cold tumors. She has characterized how dendritic cell subtypes regulate T-cell priming in the tumor context. Her work on the myeloid determinants of immunotherapy response has transformed the field.
